The
Cardiff X Challenge is an established fixture in the UK Cross Country calendar, attracting runners from all
parts of the UK.
Incorporating
a range of men's, women's and young person's races, the event is open to runners of almost any age. The course
is marked up to national standards and incorporates a mixture of flat fast running and interesting woodland
and riverside sections.
The Cardiff X Challenge takes place in the centre of Cardiff within the beautiful Castle grounds that lead
into Blackweir Fields. Hotel accommodation is available within 1km, and there are ample car parking spaces
just a short walk from the course.
With
a total prize value of £3000, the Cardiff X Challenge has always had a different format to other
UKA XC events, and this year, two new races have been added to the programme:
Running4Women - an introduction to cross-country running for women
of all abilities.
Primary Schools - 1km races for both girls and boys.
